Olympic souvenir from Q Tag

A digital jewellery revolution that celebrates the Olympics

We are witnessing a digital jewellery revolution where mobile technology, beautiful design and quality craftsmanship are combined.

Do you want to tell someone you love them? Need to thank someone in a very special way? Is there an important date you want to commemorate? How about a link to a blog or video – or the official London Olympics website?

QR Tag is a collection of contemporary silver jewellery that is designed with QR codes engraved in silver. Using your phone to scan the jewellery will unlock the message.

The collection includes a pendant, bracelet and cufflinks, each with a vibrantly coloured handmade leather thong. There is a range of pre-programmed QR Tag messages or you can choose your own unique text or a URL message. Every piece created will be saved in the cloud for eternity.

Award winning jewellery designer, Neil Rayment, has produced two commemorative pieces for the London Olympics 2012.

When the jewellery is scanned with a phone, the QR Code links to the official Olympics website – the perfect way to keep up to date, celebrate and commemorate this important occasion in British history.

“I wanted to design a commemorative piece of jewellery that stood apart from the obvious. QR Tag marries 21st Century technology with age-old craftsmanship. This seemed to me to be the perfect vehicle,” said Rayment. “My Olympic design celebrates both the modern and the ancient. A communication of patterns can be read digitally and connects you straight to the official Olympic website, while the colour fired ring pattern forged into silver harps back to almost mythological traditions.”

The QR Tag Olympic is finished with a handmade leather thong and features the diamond jubilee hallmark.
