Where are you based?

We are based in Cardiff, the bay end of Bute Street, in our beautiful Victorian Gothic stone shop front.

See here.

Do I need to book an appointment?

Appointments are not necessary & we welcome walk-ins. However, to avoid waiting times or disappointment, we advise contacting us first through email, one of our social media pages, or telephone.

What materials do you use?

As trained Goldsmiths with over 30 years of experience, we are able to create jewellery in a multitude of materials (Silver, Golds, and Platinum etc.). We try our very best to use ethically sourced materials, whether that's fairtrade/fair mined gold or 100% recycled material. We strongly emphasise reusing and upcycling recycled materials to create new beautiful pieces!

White Gold vs Platinum

Pure gold is too soft to be used in everyday jewellery, so other metals are mixed with pure gold to create a metal suitable for everyday wear. 18ct gold comprises 75% pure gold and 25% of other metals. Platinum is alloyed with other metals for strength and workability rather than colour.

When wearing two or more rings on one finger, we strongly advise that the rings are made of the same materials. If they're made from different materials, the stronger materials will rub against the weaker materials, causing quicker degradation.

Diamonds & Coloured gemstones

We work with a small number of trusted gemstone and diamond suppliers with whom we’ve developed relationships with over the years. We only buy from suppliers who guarantee that their stones are ethically sourced.

We only use conflict-free diamonds in our jewellery. All are sourced from suppliers that comply with the Kimberley Process. For those interested in a diamond, we also offer the choice of using lab-grown diamonds in our pieces.

We choose the perfect selection of stones to fit both budget and the '4Cs' - Colour, Clarity, Carat, Cut. The stone will also come with a unique valuation and GIA or IGI certification.

Can your designs be customised?

If you see a design you like in our collection but would like it in a different combination of metal or gemstone we can make it to order, sourcing a range of diamonds or gemstones for you to choose from.

Some of our designs are one-of-a-kind and are made with unique or unusual gemstones. Although we may not be able to repeat these, we can work with you to create a bespoke piece of jewellery based on the design. Visit our bespoke page to read more about the process.

Do you offer an engraving service?

We do not engrave in house; however, we have formed excellent relationships with many businesses offering engraving services from stamp to hand and laser. The engraving service is an additional fee.

Can my ring size or chain length be adjusted?

Ring sizes and chain lengths can be adjusted to suit you. When placing your order, please advise us of your ring size or desired chain length, and we will make any necessary adjustments.

We also offer a resizing service within our workshop for all jewellery. (Please be advised that we can't resize jewellery in all circumstances. This is why it is recommended that you contact us first to avoid disappointment).
